Per-Tool Pricing Breakdown

Donorbox

Donorbox publishes three tiers. The Standard Plan is free (billed monthly — no subscription charge). The Pro Plan runs $150/month, billed monthly. The Premium Plan is quote-only; you’ll need to contact their sales team for pricing.

Worth noting: Donorbox also applies a 2.95% Donorbox platform fee on top of whatever your payment processor charges, across its donation forms, text-to-donate campaigns, and peer-to-peer features. For peer-to-peer specifically, the captured data notes a 3.95% fee applies to supporters’ sub-campaigns. A separate text-to-donate add-on is available in Basic and Short Code versions (see Donorbox’s pricing page for current add-on rates). These per-transaction and add-on costs sit on top of the flat monthly plan price, so factor them into your total-cost picture.

Some users report friction around invoicing and payments, price/value, features and functionality, ease of use, and onboarding and setup.

DonorDock

DonorDock offers a single plan called ONE, priced at $500/year, billed annually. There are no additional published tiers. We don’t have third-party review data for DonorDock at this time, so we can’t speak to how users rate the experience.

Aplos

Aplos publishes four tiers, with a promotional price available on two of them:

  • Lite: $79/month (regular) or $39.50/month (promotional), billed monthly
  • Core: $129/month (regular) or $64.50/month (promotional), billed monthly
  • Advanced: $229/month, billed monthly (no promo captured)
  • Custom: Contact their sales team — no published price

The promo pricing on Lite and Core represents a meaningful cost difference from the regular rates; it’s worth checking the Aplos site directly to confirm whether the promotion is still active when you’re ready to buy. We don’t have third-party review data for Aplos currently.

Givebutter

Givebutter’s paid tier is called Plus, and it scales by contact count — all billed annually:

  • Up to 250 contacts: $29/year
  • Up to 1,000 contacts: $79/year
  • Up to 2,500 contacts: $129/year

The captured data also references a free fundraising option (Givebutter’s positioning mentions raising funds “for free”), though no $0 plan with explicit pricing appears in the captured plan data — check their site directly for current free-tier terms. In the reviews we scanned for Givebutter, no recurring complaint patterns stood out.

Zeffy

Zeffy publishes no pricing page — their site does not have one, and a direct attempt to reach a pricing page returns a 404. Their entire positioning is built around being “100% free” fundraising software, funded by optional tips that donors can leave for Zeffy at checkout. There are no captured dollar figures for plans because no plans are published.

The practical implication: Zeffy’s cost to your organization is $0 in subscription fees, but the tip-based model means the platform’s revenue comes from your donors at the point of transaction. Their FAQ addresses questions like “What if my donors don’t leave a tip?” and “Why would donors tip Zeffy?” — worth reading before you commit. In the reviews we scanned, no recurring complaint patterns stood out.

Bloomerang

Bloomerang structures its pricing around three separate products, each with a published starting price (all billed annually):

  • Bloomerang Fundraising: starting at $40/year
  • Bloomerang CRM: starting at $125/year
  • Bloomerang Volunteer: starting at $119/year

These are “starting at” figures — actual pricing scales from there based on factors not published on the captured page. Contact Bloomerang for the price at your organization’s size. Some users report friction around customer support, price/value, the mobile app, ease of use, and features and functionality.

DonorPerfect

DonorPerfect’s pricing page advertises “fundraising suites for any size nonprofit starting at $99/month” — but named plan tiers are demo- and quote-only, with no per-plan price published. To get pricing beyond that starting figure, you’ll need to contact their sales team. No recurring complaint patterns stood out in the reviews we scanned for DonorPerfect.

Little Green Light

Little Green Light uses the most transparent constituent-count-based pricing model in this group — every band is published, all billed monthly:

Constituents Monthly Price
Up to 2,500 $45/month
Up to 5,000 $60/month
Up to 10,000 $75/month
Up to 20,000 $90/month
Up to 30,000 $105/month
Up to 40,000 $120/month
Up to 50,000 $135/month

There are no hidden entry tiers and no sales-call requirement to see the numbers. We don’t have third-party review data for Little Green Light at this time.

Transparent Pricing vs. Sales-Quoted Pricing

A practical divide runs through this category. Donorbox, DonorDock, Aplos, Givebutter, Bloomerang, and Little Green Light all publish at least some concrete prices — you can budget without a conversation. Zeffy publishes no pricing page at all, though its free positioning is clear.

DonorPerfect sits in a middle position: it signals a starting point of $99/month on its pricing page, but specific plan pricing requires a sales call. Donorbox Premium and Aplos Custom are similarly quote-only at the top of their respective ranges.

If your procurement process requires a firm number before you can get organizational approval, tools with fully published pricing (particularly Little Green Light’s constituent-band model or DonorDock’s single flat annual fee) make that step straightforward. For quote-only tools, build in time for a demo and negotiation before your budget deadline.
